JHS Natural Products was formed in 1994 by three people with very different backgrounds; a mushroom grower (J), a natural products chemist (H), and a naturopathic doctor (S). This foundation of knowledge, the understanding of the biology, the chemistry, and the therapeutic applications of medicinal mushroom extracts, is what sets our company apart.

The Mission

JHS was founded with the intention of providing the highest quality medicinal mushroom products possible. In pursuing that goal we have looked to both Traditional East Asian Medicine and modern clinical research to help establish the quality standards that guarantee our customers the most effective medicinal mushroom extracts, quality standards that have made JHS a leader in the field of mushroom nutraceuticals.

History

JHS started in 1994 as a supplier of medicinal mushroom supplements to health practitioners and is now the largest supplier of mushroom extracts to M.D.'s in North America.

JHS was the first (and still the only) company to offer:

A product line of 100% pure hot water extracts, (liquid and dehydrated);
Assayed and guaranteed levels of active compounds in every product; and
High potency Coriolus extracts chemically matched to the material used in the Japanese clinical research.

In 1996 JHS began offering their products to the general public, launching their online web based sales the same year as Amazon.com.

In the nine years that we have been in business we have stood by our original commitment to sell only properly made extracts and organic whole mushrooms.

We continue to conduct original research on new product development and to support clinical research exploring new therapeutic applications for medicinal mushroom extracts.
